Erste Hilfe am Kind

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

In an emergency, every minute counts—and often it’s the initial actions taken by bystanders that can save lives. That’s why the Cultural Center, in partnership with the German Red Cross, is offering two hands-on first-aid courses designed for anyone who wants to respond safely and competently in an emergency.

The series kicks off with the “First Aid for Children” compact course, which is specifically designed for emergencies involving infants and children. Among other things, participants will learn how to properly handle respiratory and circulatory problems, treat injuries, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and take appropriate measures in cases of poisoning and common childhood illnesses. In addition, potential accident hazards in everyday life will be highlighted, and valuable tips on accident prevention will be provided.

The course is aimed in particular at parents, grandparents, and anyone who spends time with children on a daily basis and wants to be prepared in case of an emergency. Please note: This course does not meet the requirements of the DGUV and is therefore not suitable as professional development for child care providers or early childhood educators.

The course will take place on either:

  • Friday, September 11, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
