Bir yedek parça fabrikasının montaj hattında, gece vardiyasında çalışıyor Cécile. Sıkışmış aile hayatına ve eşinin giderek artan hırsına karşı kendini işine adamayı seçmiş, tam anlamıyla bir "örnek çalışan "a dönüşmüş. Buna rağmen ne montaj hatlarında tükenen hayatlar, ne kıl payı kaçırılan kotalar, aşırı üretim sorumlusu Talzberg'i tatmin etmiyor. Çünkü Erwin Motors'un adanmış yöneticisi Merteuıl sertleşen rekabetten galip çıkmak ve üretimi kamçılamak adına, ucuz iş gücü bahanesiyle fabrikanın başka bir ülkeye taşınması ihtimaliyle onları sürekli tehdit eder. Bütün bunlar haftanın yedi gününün yedi gecesinde de çalışmaya mal olsa da Cécile Volanges'a bir 'armağandır'.

Sonunda Cécile Volanges'ın dönüştüğü durum; Çalışma - özgürleşme ve reddetme - adanmışlık gibi kavramların birbiriyle olan ilişkilerini yeniden gözden geçirmemizi istiyor. BEKSAV'a bağlı çalışmalarını sürdüren Tiyatro İmge, Erwin Motors oyunuyla kapitalist sömürü çarklarında kadın emeğinin değerini sorguluyor...

Kapitalist sömürünün ucuz işgücü ile katmerlenerek arttığı koşullarda, bir kadın işçinin tüm zamanların 'rekortmeni' bir çalışan olarak yaşamının heba edildiği çalışma yaşamına ayna tutan Erwin Motors oyunu ile Tiyatro İmge'yi Avrupa'daki tiyatroseverleri buluşturuyoruz.

Cécile works night shifts in the assembly department of a spare parts factory. Faced with her cramped family life and her husband's growing ambition, she decides to dedicate herself to her work and has become an "exemplary worker". Because of this "dedication", she is prepared to do anything to please her employer.

But neither the lives lost on the assembly lines nor the narrowly missed quotas satisfy Talzberg, who is responsible for overproduction. Merteuil, the dedicated manager of Erwin Motors, constantly threatens them with the possibility of moving the factory to another country under the pretext of cheap labor in order to win the tough competition and increase production.

The situation in which Cécile Volanges ultimately finds herself prompts us to reconsider the connections between concepts such as work - emancipation and refusal - devotion.

With the play Erwin Motors, the theater group İmge, which works at the BEKSAV cultural center in Istanbul, questions the value of women's work in the wheels of capitalist exploitation.

The play reflects the life of a female worker who, as a cheap record worker, shows how lives are wasted through capitalist exploitation. All theater lovers are cordially invited to Erwin Motors
