Crossing Common Borders

In the organizer's words:

Crossing Common Borders is not only theater, but also film, light and sound composition - all live. It is an ode to failure. A confession of loneliness. A longing for a great collective.

The piece is a collaboration between Studio Trafique and the Ohrenkuss editorial team.

Content warning

During the performance, strobe lighting, fog, loud music and sudden sounds are used . Under certain circumstances, this can trigger epileptic seizures.
The themes of loneliness, addiction and drug use, and the loss of loved ones are also addressed.

All performances will be interpreted into German Sign Language (DGS).

On May 9 and May 12, the performance will be translated into plain language.

On May 9, the performance will be accompanied by an audio description.

There will be a touch tour on May 9 at 5:30 pm. Between the touch tour and the start of the performance, the festival center will be open with drinks for you.

You can bring your own headphones to use the audio description and the translation into plain language. The connection works via a simple mini-jack plug.

The event room is accessible via a ramp. We recommend an assistant to use the ramp, as its gradient exceeds 6 percent.

We can reserve wheelchair accessible seats.

The various assistance requirements can be specified when purchasing tickets. This allows us to prepare well.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are very welcome. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog to the performance.

Please let us know if you would like to be picked up from the nearest bus or train stop and accompanied to the venue.
