EUGENE CHADBOURNE (USA) feat. SCHRÖDER (DE) // brandherd at Altes Volksbad

Eugene Chadbourne from North Carolina began his career with rock and roll, but quickly grew tired of conventional forms. He studied genres such as blues, country, bluegrass, free jazz and noise and synthesized all these diverse influences into his own style.
His penchant for quirky humor is evident in album titles such as "Locked in a Dutch Coffee-Shop" or "LSD Country & Western" or, even better, "Country Music From The World Of Islam".
In the 1980s, Chadbourne was part of the band Shockabilly. He released four outstanding albums with the band, which were to expand the psychobilly genre into the cosmic-galactic realm.

Chadbourne has collaborated with numerous artists, including John Zorn, Fred Frith, Carla Bley, Toshinori Kondo, Camper Van Beethoven, Jello Biafra, Turbonegro, They Might Be Giants, Violent Femmes, Kevin Blechdom and many more. His discography includes over 400 releases.

Chadbourne will be accompanied by Schroeder (Mothers Of Invention) on drums, who has also swung the sticks at the Dad Horse Experience in the Volksbad.
