Presentation of the acting workshop of the bremer shakespeare company with students from Bremen University of Applied Sciences

The project

Ability comes from art. Art encourages us to seek our own point of view on what we hear, see, experience and learn. Oskar Negt (1934 - 2024) calls this "Eigen-Sinn" (sense of self) - emerging from artistic uncertainty to develop one's own attitude, to create self-confidence. Theater play strengthens skills in comprehension and questioning, in social interaction, in self-reflection, in curiosity and in self-confidence.
In this 2025 cooperation project between the bremer shakespeare company and Bremen University of Applied Sciences, HSB students have the opportunity to take the "Everyone must play a part" module. As part of the five-part workshop series led by professional actors from the bremer shakespeare company, the participating students from different disciplines develop basic techniques of performing arts and work together to develop scenic miniatures around a range of topics that open up spaces for self-awareness, self-perception and playful expression.
The presentation concludes the workshop cycle and a time full of new experiences for all participants.

Bremen University of Applied Sciences offers the course as a flexible, extra-curricular module, so that students have the opportunity to integrate it individually into their study program.
