The climate crisis affects us all

… yet its consequences affect people around the world in very different ways. Those who have contributed the least to the crisis are the ones who suffer the most from its consequences.

To shed light on this issue, wecordiallyinvite you to theZukunftsraum KarlsruheonSaturday, October 17, 2026, for a symposium titled “From Knowledge to Action—Shaping Climate Justice Together.” Join us!

The event will explore key issues surrounding climate justice, impact investing, and international climate finance. Three keynote presentations followed by discussions are scheduled for the morning.

One of these presentations will offerOikocredit’sperspective and demonstrate how impact-oriented financing can be structured in practice—particularly with regard to climate protection and adaptation measures. Additional speakers have been invited.

After a group lunch break, we’d like to structure the afternoon around physical activity and dialogue. Under the program item“On the Move Together,”we’re planning the following activities for theafternoon (approx. 1.5–2 hours):

• a“Walk & Talk”on the topic of clean energy
• our interactive session“A Perfect Storm”
• aRoofKIT tour(to be confirmed)

The symposium is a collaborative event withQuartier Zukunft – Labor Stadt, the real-world laboratory of the Karlsruhe Transformation Center for Sustainability and Cultural Change (KAT) at ITAS/KIT.
