FAKE or REAL?

The play by the DEIN MÜNCHEN theater group is set in an influencer camp where likes are more important than people. The influencer workshop comes to a head when a participant suddenly "disappears".

Is she dead? At least that's how you could interpret the letter she left behind. Or is she perhaps just offline? The camp participants immediately start speculating digitally: Rumors, fake videos, hatred and suspicions spread faster than the truth. Nobody listens anymore, everyone is filming, posting and accusing!

Between crime thriller, bitter humor and genuine horror, FAKE or REAL? shows how mercilessly social media can escalate and how dependent we already are on screens - even when it comes to guilt and responsibility, life and death.

The play was developed and written by the young people of the DEIN MÜNCHEN theater group under the guidance of Friederike Wilhelmi. The young protagonists deal with issues that affect them. Some of these are stressful situations that can include topics such as suicide, bullying, racism, psychological and sexual violence.
