False Heads

In the organizer's words:

Imagine Queens of the Stone Age meeting The Pixies, combined with a little pinch of The Ramones - and you have the British band FALSE HEADS in your ears. This explosive mix is now coming to Germany for four shows in May 2024: Berlin on May 18 (Urban Spree), Cologne on May 20 (Blue Shell), Stuttgart on May 21 (Goldmarks) and finally Hamburg (May 22, headCRASH). The previously announced dates for November/December 2023 had to be postponed to next year due to logistical problems, according to the band.

The three-piece rock-punk band from East London are undoubtedly one of the most acclaimed in recent years, embarking on a journey through social and cultural issues, political opinions and everything in between. 'It's All There, But You're Dreaming' (2020) tackles topics that Luke Griffiths (vocals/guitar), Jake Elliott (bass) and Barney Nash (drums/vocals) have been openly talking about in their lyrics since their beginnings, making this album their own musical timeline.

After releasing several singles in 2016 and performing at venues including the Roundhouse to mark the 30th anniversary of the Ramones' appearance, FALSE HEADS released their debut EP "Gutter Press" in March 2017, which was critically acclaimed and played at home and abroad. The band went on to perform at a number of festivals and supported The Libertines on their "Tiddeley Om Pom Pom Tour" later in the year.

In November 2017, FALSE HEADS joined Frank Turner, Band of Skulls and Josh Homme on the program of "A Peaceful Noise", a show in memory of Nick Alexander, who was killed in the 2015 Bataclan terrorist attack. Shortly afterwards, they were included in The Independent's list of those to keep an eye on in 2018, shortly before releasing their single "Retina" and the highly acclaimed EP "Less is Better" via Vallence Records in March 2018. By 2019 at the latest, their music was celebrated worldwide and rewarded with placements in renowned playlists on Spotify, Apple Music and co. At the time, FALSE HEADS were in the Cambridge studio with producer Matty Moon to record their debut album 'It's All There But You're Dreaming'.

The legendary Iggy Pop went so far as to praise the band as "young, talented and on the way up" and he's not wrong: FALSE HEADS are being played across the UK and beyond by a number of prestigious stations and placed on top streaming playlists, now raking in over 3 million streams around the world. It's high time to see the three Brits live on their German tour.
