In the organizer's words:

Family Day at the Freudenthaler Sensenhammer – Get Involved, Be Amazed, and Have Fun!

Come join us, give things a try, and get started! At the big Family Day at the Freudenthaler Sensenhammer Industrial Museum, the museum becomes a place of discovery for explorers of all ages. On Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a colorful program full of action, creativity, and exciting hands-on activities awaits.

There’s plenty to discover on the lawn behind the museum: Who wants to try their hand at blacksmithing? Who can complete the agility course? Who’ll hit the bullseye in the can-tossing game? At the arts-and-crafts stations, the color-play stations, and with the stunt bikes, kids will experiment, tinker, and—of course—laugh a lot.

The motto is: Join in instead of just watching! The activities are designed so that children can quickly experience a sense of accomplishment and have lots of fun trying new things. And parents and grandparents are also welcome to join in—after all, it’s most fun when we do it together!

But there’s more going on than just on the lawn: The “museum” sheep are looking forward to meeting curious visitors, and at the beekeeper’s stand, you can discover the fascinating world of bees up close.

The museum team will provide the activities and, of course, refreshments. Look forward to a cheerful, varied day with the whole family— full of movement, creativity, exciting encounters, and plenty of good cheer!

Come, join in, and enjoy a wonderful family day!

Free admission.

Important note: On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the museum will be closed for regular visits. Only the Family Day event will take place on this day.
