Fantasy Filmfest White Nights 2026

It is said that the horror genre is so popular because we suffer with characters who are worse off than ourselves. In this sense, we have a lot to offer: Nobody would want to mess with the merciless DOLLY or this year's CRAZY OLD LADY Carmen Maura. Mike Flanagan's mystery thriller SHELBY OAKS also takes nightmares and fear to extremes, while enfant terrible Can Evrenol shocks us beyond imagination in THE TURKISH COFFEE TABLE.

But the hoped-for catharsis is not long in coming. In addition to metal-drone undead(DEATHGASM: GOREMAGGEDON), the neon-cold paranoia trip EVERY HEAVY THING and the multi-layered folk horror THE HOLY BOY, there is no shortage of big emotions: DECORADO sends a crisis-ridden mouser on an adventure, DUST BUNNY gives killer Mads Mikkelsen the job of killing a monster under the bed, and MY DAUGHTER IS A ZOMBIE - Korea's most successful blockbuster of 2025 - is an unusual family film with bite and a surprisingly warm heart.
