ON THE ROAD IN AFRICA

Farin Urlaub has been traveling since before he was in a band. Although he is still a long way from his goal of seeing the whole world, he has been drawn to Africa again and again for several decades. Whether on his own or with a guide, on a motorcycle or in an off-road vehicle - he has visited more than 40 countries on this huge, exciting, contradictory and absolutely fascinating continent.

Farin now wants to share the beauty, humanity and adventures that he has experienced there time and again. Not as an all-knowing cultural expert, but as an enthusiastic and curious traveler who is not afraid of the unknown - on the road with a camera, functional clothing and sunburn in search of the truth.

Good travel companion

Together with Jochen Schliemann (journalist, traveler, author and one half of "Reisen Reisen - Der Podcast"), Farin goes on a speaking tour and stops off in Munich. The two want to talk openly about subjective experiences, show photos and - at the very least - arouse curiosity.
