Heldenballade, Feenballade, Naturmagische Ballade, they are all narrative poems and give us an insight into an almost bygone world full of magic. FAUN have always set ballads to music in their more than 20 year career and have already sung of seductive fairies, brave heroes, sorcerers, mermaids, trolls and many an old god. With this new concert program they now want to devote themselves completely to this magical world and have combined the most beautiful ballads from their repertoire.
With harp, lute, hurdy-gurdy and many other medieval instruments, Shakespeare, Goethe, but also numerous old sagas and legends are set to music. With musical excursions into Nordic and Celtic folk, many beautiful ballads from FAUN's repertoire are brought to the stage here, which are rarely heard.
In noble, seated concert halls and churches, this concert program represents a musical journey, which partly in acoustic garb and partly in large instrumentation, the timeless magic of the ancient myths come alive again.
