Despair and weariness at not being able to recognize what holds the world together at its core drive old Faust to summon the spirits. In a pact with the devil, he allies himself with Mephisto and promises him his soul to get answers to all his questions. Mephisto makes Faust young again with a witch's potion. The possibilities of a lifetime lie ahead of him, but Faust's interests are now focused elsewhere. His passion for Gretchen and her love for him give the story an unexpected twist. What realization will he come to?
