As tutor to the Roman emperor Nero, the eloquent philosopher Seneca has risen to become one of the wealthiest men in the empire. But when his rule turns into tyranny, Seneca's star also begins to fade. He is accused of conspiring against Nero and forced to commit suicide. In a wild, postmodern flood of images, this absurd political comedy sparks an allegorical confrontation with the ideological dead ends of a corrupt society.
