FEMALE FRAMES – Vernissage

Graffiti can be many things: a fight for space, an expression of subculture, but also a representation of artistic identity. Although the relevance of the art form has been emphasized by a large number of publications in recent decades, gender-coded gaps remain in the discourse.

The group exhibition "Female Frames" presented by the OZM confronts these historical gaps and focuses on the female view of graffiti. On display are works by female pioneers of the first generation as well as young talents who stand for the emancipation of the scene.
