From July 27 to 31, we are inviting young people aged 14 and over who are interested in history and enthusiastic about drawing to our graphic novel workshop.
During these five days, we want to find out together what happened during the Nazi era in Leipzig and how this time shaped the upbringing of Jewish children in the city. The focus is on the stories of five people who are representative of the fates of many hundreds of children in Leipzig and at the same time make very personal experiences visible.
To ensure that the memories of these former Jewish Leipzig residents are not forgotten, we are creatively exploring their stories and developing our own graphic novels from them. We will be supported by illustrator and comic artist Melanie Garanin.
The finished graphic novels will then be printed in book form and later used in project days with primary school children.
Participation is free of charge - catering and drawing materials are included. All we need now are motivated participants!
We recommend registering as early as possible by e-mail or using the registration form.
