Ferienveranstaltung: Hidden Places für Schulkinder

What could be more exciting than a look behind the scenes? With over 600 rooms, the German National Library in Leipzig is an Eldorado of unique places and stories. In the evening hours, the tour offers a look behind one or two otherwise closed doors in one of the country's largest libraries. From the basement to the top floor, the one-hour tour takes you through a building that has grown steadily since its foundation and has many stories to tell. Rotunda and fish hall, restricted stacks, book transport system and collector's corridor: these are just some of the sometimes very special places. There is also a great view of Leipzig from the roof and one inside the striking golden facade clock. We will also tell you what the "catalog marten" is all about and why there is a "coffin" in the building.
