Festival der Berliner Industriekultur

You’ve never seen Berlin like this before: The Berlin Industrial Culture Festival promises unique insights into the capital’s history. From September 12 to October 4, visitors can experience more than 100 events at a festival that transforms the city into a stage for extraordinary cultural experiences.

The focus is on places that lie off the beaten path but play a significant role in Berlin’s history and identity. Partners from the arts, culture, education, and business offer a diverse program that combines industrial history with contemporary urban culture.

The range of events is vast: silent discos between train tracks and trains, guided bike tours, sculpture workshops, theatrical walks, tours in vintage buses, culinary experiences, and city tours offering exclusive insights into significant sites and hidden gems of Berlin’s industrial history.

The festival kicks off on September 12, 2026, as part of the nationwide Open Monument Day. Afterward, over the course of three weeks and four weekends, the festival invites visitors to discover Berlin from new perspectives. The festival is organized by the Berlin Center for Industrial Culture (bzi) in collaboration with numerous partners from across the city.
