Celebratory concerts by the international L`Orchestra I Sedici

For almost three decades, the string orchestra I SEDICI has stood for musical excellence, international diversity and passionate enthusiasm. Founded by Italian maestro Luigi Sagrestano, the ensemble brings together 16 top-class string players from up to six European nations, who incorporate their personal influences and musical backgrounds into a common sound.

Under the direction of Romanian concertmaster Petru Lupan, this diversity results in a fascinating interplay - finely tuned, expressive and always at an artistic level. Each concert thus becomes an experience that not only conveys technical precision but also emotional depth.

This year, I SEDICI is continuing a long-standing tradition with its festive concerts at Schloss Albrechtsberg Dresden - a cultural highlight that has been enthusiastically supported by audiences for years. The ensemble's current program combines works by Corelli, Vivaldi, Mozart, Sibelius and Dvorák - an evening full of contrasts, timbres and musical encounters - based on the idea that music knows no boundaries.
