Fête de la musique/Musikalischer Brunch x bpb x EU-Kommission

On Sunday, June 21 from 11 am to 3 pm, the Federal Agency for Civic Education/bpb, the Institut français Bonn and the Regional Representation of the European Commission cordially invite you to the Fête de la Musique at the Media Center on Bundeskanzlerplatz in Bonn.

You can look forward to exuberant live music, French pastries and a colorful family program with early musical education, face painting and hands-on activities for children. You can also browse through the bpb:media center and get to know the bpb's publications.

Artists:

Zainab Lax and Joel-Joao combine cultural diversity, contemporary creativity and emotional depth in their music. With harp, guitar, vocals and a unique blend of traditional influences, indie pop, soul, R&B and electronic sounds, they create atmospheric soundscapes between past and present. Their concerts invite the audience on a musical journey that touches, connects and inspires empathy and participation.

Emmeline Pott is an internationally influenced singer-songwriter, born in Barcelona to a French mother and a German father. She grew up in different countries and cultures due to frequent moves. Her youth in Brazil in particular shaped her love of music and her first artistic experiences. Today she lives in Germany and processes her varied life paths in authentic songs. She sings in English, French, Portuguese and German about personal experiences, emotions and the humorous side of everyday life. She has been writing her own music since 2020 and has been performing regularly as a singer-songwriter since 2023.

Early musical education for ages 1-5 years:

Together with Chantal Baudel, French teacher at the Institut français Bonn, children and parents sing in French, explore rhythms and transform their bodies into an instrument. A playful musical experience that combines language, movement and joy.
