Fiesta Latina de Carnaval

The balou Elferrat invites you to the traditional Fiesta Latina de Carnaval on Saturday, 10 February 24, from 20:00 in the balou cultural center. The theme of the party is "A journey around the world". All dance-loving guests with and without costumes are welcome. Musically, 4 DJs will provide the best dancing atmosphere with lots of salsa and bachata as well as a pinch of merengue and other Latin sounds.Tickets are availablefor€10 (advance booking) and €15 at the box office .

About the motto: Who doesn't love traveling to countries near and far? Discover cultures and traditions, different landscapes, flora and fauna! With appropriate costumes, you can bring the sights and landmarks of the countries to life. Whether globetrotter, adventurer, educational traveler, hiker or beach holidaymaker - whether by plane, ship, train, bus, balloon or even on foot: Anything is possible. As always, there is a costume award ceremony where the best costume receives a special prize.

The Fiesta Latina de Carnaval has been an integral and popular part of the salsa scene in Dortmund for over 20 years. After a two-year pandemic break, it is now taking place again, as always on the Saturday before Shrove Monday. The fiesta is organized by the balou Elferrat. It is made up of dedicated students from the balou dance courses as well as team members from the bailar-y-más and Salsalou party series and the salsa tanzen dortmund dance school.
