The stupidity of two bill collectors brings Jeff Lebowski (Jeff Bridges), the penniless old hippie, together with his millionaire namesake. His wife has been kidnapped, and the ransom money is to be handed over to Loser Lebowski of all people. The beginning of a chain of catastrophes that initially deprives the slacker of his overview and ultimately even his legendary nonchalance.
Joel and Ethan Coen's seventh film also brings together stylistic perfection, a laconic narrative tone and quirky characters in the most harmonious and amusing way.
