Film & Gespräch mit Tucké Royale

Tucké Royale is one of four new top professors at HFF Munich / The discussion following the film screening of NEUBAU will focus on Royale's interdisciplinary work experience, among other things: The multiple award-winning author of radio plays and screenplays is also an actor, filmmaker and producer and has also been present on changing stages with theater, performances and music appearances with his own band / The discussion will be moderated by Lena Pauli (Artistic Assistant to the Chair of Screenwriting; Director: Prof. Lea Schmidbauer and Prof. Kathrin Richter)

With the Top Professorships Program (SPP) as part of the Hightech Agenda Bayern, the Bavarian Ministry of Science is promoting research at the highest level. This enables research professorships for outstanding national and international personalities. At the art colleges, the SPP is designed as a guest professorship program for which the art colleges were able to apply. The concepts submitted were reviewed by a panel of experts. The decision on the selection of the personalities to be appointed is made by the respective university.
HFF Munich applied for top professorships with its concept "Visionary Voices for Bavaria: Promoting Talent through Excellence and Diversity" and was awarded the contract. It will thus receive funding for two 100% professorships, which will be shared 50% each by four outstanding top performers: Mo Asumang, Hans-Christian Schmid, Tucké Royale and Matthias Zentner. Organizationally, each of the four top professors is assigned to an HFF study department, where they also supervise students and their projects. The two competence cores of the guest professorship program "Hybrid Narrative Forms" and "Creative Direction" are designed to be interdepartmental.

About the film NEUBAU: Summer in the Brandenburg Province. Markus is torn between his love for his grandma in need of care and his longing for a different life in Berlin. In his daydreams, a host of dazzling demons increasingly appear to him as harbingers of a queer urban family of choice that will free him from his loneliness. When he falls in love with Duc, everything becomes even more complicated. Markus' new apartment is already packed for the move to the big city.
