But what is light? Artists have been asking themselves this question for centuries, and there have been countless scientific studies on this phenomenon. In painting, immaterial light is represented by various color materials, sculpture pays attention to the play of light on the surfaces of sculptures and sculptures, and in our time, light itself is becoming a work of art. In his film, director Thomas Riedelsheimer embarks on a search for light in the high-tech laboratories of the Max Planck Institute for Physics, he watches the "Extreme Light Group" at the University of Glasgow in their experiments and discussions, and he follows British land art artist Julie Brook in her approaches to the effects and magic of light in nature. Light, space and time, high technology and nature, knowledge and beauty: "Tracing Light" is a poetic film about our light-filled world.
