In the award-winning, Oscar-nominated 1985 documentary Streetwise, which captured the lives of teenagers on the streets of Seattle, one person stood out the most: Erin Blackwell, also known as Tiny.
After that first encounter with Tiny, Mary Ellen Mark and Martin Bell spent thirty years documenting Tiny's evolution from a thirteen-year-old girl to a mother of ten. It was one of their most significant and long-term projects.
