Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of the small town of Halloween, is completely fed up with the annual Halloween festival and longs for a change. By chance, he comes to the town of Christmastown and is thrilled. His mind is made up: this year, Christmas is to be celebrated in Halloween.
The spindly skeleton Jack Skellington is the star of Halloweentown, where a whole battalion of ghosts and monsters prepare for the next Halloween all year round. But Jack is not happy: on a walk, he accidentally discovers the way to Christmas Town, where everything is colorful and happy. Jack decides to kidnap Santa Claus to take his place and give presents to the children of this world himself. Only his girlfriend Sally suspects the impending disaster.
