Young, uneducated Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) makes a poor living from a low-paying job as a bill collector and occasional boxing matches. One day, surprisingly, the heavyweight boxing champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) expresses his interest in a fight with Balboa.
