Cinema as a sense of possibility: Marianne, a doctor, lives in Oslo. She longs to be close to other people, but is fed up with her love life being constantly scrutinized and questioned by the expectations others have of her. One evening on a ferry, she meets Tor, a nurse and colleague. He tells her about the ferry trips he takes at night when he can't sleep and about his chance encounters with other men there. Her curiosity aroused, Marianne explores relationships off the beaten track.
DAG JOHAN HAUGERUD (*1964 in Norway) writes novels, makes films and has received numerous awards for both. Love is the second part of his trilogy "Sex, Love and Dreams". Love screened in Venice and Sex premiered at the Berlinale 2024.
