Come to FILMFEST HAMBURG and experience Ukrainian filmmaking

A melancholy film about farewells and the silence in which past generations echo. Stepne received the Golden Leopard for Best Director at the Locarno Film Festival. Anatoliy returns to his home village to care for his dying mother. There he is confronted with his past and the history of his country as he reflects on his life and his decisions.

MARYNA VRODA (*1982 in Ukraine) studied at the National University of Theater, Film and Television in Kyiv and lives in Kyiv and Berlin.

FILMFEST HAMBURG will take place from September 26 to October 5, 2024. Over 120 productions from all over the world will be shown as world, European, German or Hamburg premieres.
