Cinema or museum? Both! Once a month, the Upper Silesian Museum invites you to this special combination of film screening and subsequent discussion. Carefully selected films are shown to encourage an exchange of ideas. Each screening starts at 12 noon - an offer that, by popular demand, now also takes place in the mornings.

At the end of the First World War, the future borders of Germany and Poland were redefined. This was also the beginning of geopolitically motivated disputes about the future affiliation of multinational, multicultural and multilingual Upper Silesia. In addition to explaining the historical context and embedding it in the European discourse on democracy, this documentation is also intended to serve as a basis for discussion and contribute to a common German-Polish culture of remembrance.
