Ángela and Héctor are in love and expecting their first child - but Ángela is deaf. She is dependent on Héctor, who has to translate at all her doctor's appointments. She becomes increasingly anxious and worries more and more: will her child be hearing? How is she supposed to look after her daughter in a world that wasn't made for her? What will it be like when little Ona speaks her first word - and she, the mother, can't hear it?
