Followed by a discussion with director Clara Stella Hüneke and protagonist Faseeha.
The three friends Jamila (9), Rachel (11) and Faseeha (12) are part of the Sisterqueens rap project in Berlin's Wedding district. Under the guidance of established female rappers, they learn to celebrate themselves, question social norms and denounce injustices such as everyday racism. Over the course of four years, Clara Stella Hüneke accompanied the three friends as they took their first steps as young, self-confident artists, defying gender stereotypes in rap, and provides a deep insight into a project whose importance cannot be emphasized enough.
Awarded the Grimme Prize 2025.
