In the organizer's words:
We’ve all been there: You really want to exercise more, but the typical gym routine is off-putting. But exercise is especially fun when you find a sport that truly excites you and doesn’t feel like a chore. With our series of events, we create a safe, relaxed environment where you can try out new sports without any pressure. Step by step, together with other beginners, and without comparing yourself to others.
What to expect: In this session, you’ll learn the absolute basics of inline skating. We’ll show you how to stand safely on your skates, skate steadily, master turns, brake properly, and safely navigate curbs. We’ll also go over the most important hand signals for skating in groups, so you’ll be fully prepared to join the big Rollnacht event in the future!
Support your club: Since this course is organized by the community for the community and takes place without a professional coaching license, the event is entirely donation-based. If the session helped you, we’d appreciate a contribution to our piggy bank (suggested amount: 10 to 15 €). You can easily pay on-site in cash or digitally.

Hard Facts & Safety:
-
Equipment: Please bring your own inline skates, a helmet, and—most importantly—protective gear (e.g., wrist, elbow, and knee pads). For safety reasons, participation is not permitted without a helmet and protective gear. Don’t have your own skates yet? Check out eBay Classifieds or Vinted—you can often find great deals there. Alternatively, you can inquire about renting equipment for the day here https://skateschule-nrw.de/vermietung/or herehttps://www.der-rollenshop.de/Testen-Verleih.
-
Liability: Since we’re practicing as a private community, everyone is responsible for themselves. You skate at your own risk, and we assume no liability for accidents.
-
Good to know: Wear comfortable workout clothes and bring a water bottle. If the roads are wet and slippery, we’ll unfortunately have to reschedule. We’ll let you know in plenty of time!
