Born Tramar Dillard in Florida in 1979, the US American came into contact with rap at an early age through family members - and quickly began writing and rapping lyrics himself. After high school, his passion intensified and Flo Rida persistently tried to get signed to major labels. He continued to work on refining his musical style, which would soon be considered groundbreaking, and underpinning it with strong tracks. Hard work that ultimately helped him make his big breakthrough. The song "Low" together with T-Pain brought the final commercial mega success in 2007 and set a record at the time with over 470,000 downloads in one week. As part of the soundtrack for "Step Up 2: The Streets", the track quickly became a worldwide number 1 hit and also laid the foundation for a new, hedonistic pop-rap style in which Flo Rida released one dance banger after another over the next few years.

The rapper's icon status has long been assured and, in addition to his work as an artist, he is now also a respected label boss, businessman and philanthropist. His hits have not lost any of their relevance to this day and are not only to be found at every good party, but in retrospect are also among the key drivers of the 2010s dance era, from which Flo Rida emerged as one of the most commercially successful rappers.

The huge success, coupled with the euphoric sing-along nature of Flo Rida's hits, make his concerts to this day a firework display of endorphins and a journey through over ten years of international pop history. Next year, there will be a chance to experience this special show live in Germany when Flo Rida performs in Frankfurt's Festhalle on May 21.
