Canadian folk-pop singer Forest Blakk has made it his life's work to set love stories of all kinds to music and has already achieved over 1.3 billion streams.
His intimate and catchy EP "Every Little Detail" with its platinum-certified hit single "If You Love Her" gave him his official US Billboard chart debut; his national US TV debut on ABC's "Live with Kelly & Ryan" gave him a spot in the Top 30 on the Hot AC radio charts and a collaboration with Meghan Trainor in a stunning duet version. Blakk's subsequent single "Fall Into Me" (co-written with Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas and Gregg Wattenberg), which went gold, reached the Top 30 on the Hot AC radio charts. Blakk's catalog has also become an integral part of the Netflix series "Love Is Blind", whose creators have named him the "patron saint" of the series. The Los Angeles Times wrote: "(Blakk's) earnest midtempo love songs are heard almost as often in 'Love is Blind' as hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey".
Blakk has been highlighted by PEOPLE Magazine as one of the "talented up-and-coming artists shaping the musical landscape" and called an "up-and-coming artist" by Billboard. The Montreal native debuted in 2018 with his EP "Minutes" and followed it up in 2020 with his sophomore EP "Sideways" - the latter a collaboration with Will IDAP (Train, Florida Georgia Line), Nick Long (King Princess), Carl Ryden (Ricky Martin, David Guetta) and Ollie Green (Freya Ridings, Gavin James) to tell a love story from a realistic and honest perspective. The 6-track collection included the singles "I Wish I Knew" (described by American Songwriter as an "introspective look at love and lost love") and the rousing anthem about resilience "Put Your Hands Up", which debuted in an episode of the series "Grey's Anatomy". In 2024, his EP "Undone (Love & Loss)" was released with the title "The Anchor & The Kite", which won seven awards at various film festivals.
