Fortgeschrittenen Workshop mit Taylor - für Tänzer*innen und Tanzstudierende

Join Taylor Drury, a member of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, for a two-day workshop for professional dancers. The weekend offers dancers the opportunity to explore different approaches to physical theater. Through guided improvisations and textual prompts, each participant will have the space to play, to create, and to embrace the unexpected. Drury will share specific elements of the performing arts that she has gathered throughout her career and invites artists who wish to deepen their theatrical exploration. 

Taylor Drury has been with the dance theater since 2020 and has portrayed a variety of roles in Pina Bausch’s productions. Before her time in Wuppertal, Taylor performed in “Sleep No More” in New York from 2015 to 2018, directed by Maxine Doyle. Her experiences in immersive theater have had a profound artistic influence on her. The transfer of certain performative elements from immersive works into more traditional stage work is an essential component of her artistic research.

The advanced workshop will take place over two days: on September 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on September 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and is specifically aimed at dancers and dance students.

The workshop will be conducted in English.
