Light and time are central design elements in every form of photography. Photographers Peter Brössler, Ingrid Scheufler and Betty Schmidt use these factors to play creatively with abstraction and blurring. They explore the spectrum between concrete depiction and alienation. They use the combination of long exposure times and movements of the camera or the subject to blur the boundaries between photography and painting. In this "gestural photography", all three artists find their own personal signature and set their own focal points. What they all have in common is their delight in the surprising and enigmatic, in the use of creative techniques. This results in unique, emotional and atmospheric photographs from fleeting moments that go far beyond mere depiction. When looking at them, you can not only take in the colors, contrasts, dynamic lines and shapes, but also take a few guesses.
The photographers are looking forward to many visitors and a lively exchange.
