Aufbau nachhaltiger Communities - Founders Breakfast by Stadtfreunde

As part of Startup Week Düsseldorf 2026, café drrüsch will host a Founders Breakfast on the topic of community building. The focus will be on how a simple idea can grow into an active community with several thousand members, and what role social media, personal stories, regular events, and local partnerships play in this process.

What began as a first “Social Run” with ten participants quickly evolved into a community offering regular sports, cultural, and recreational activities, with its own organizers and local partnerships. The presentation shares practical insights on community building, growing reach on Instagram, event organization, delegating responsibility, and sustainable growth.

In addition to successes, the talk will also address challenges such as burnout, motivating volunteers, conflict management, and building scalable structures.

The event will include a breakfast buffet, unlimited coffee, and time for questions, discussion, and networking.
