Award-winning Northern Irish singer/songwriter Foy Vance has announced additional dates for his Regarding the Joy of Nothing Tour 2023 to mark the 10th anniversary of his breakthrough album Joy Of Nothing, released in 2013.

On October 13, 2024, Vance will return to Europe to kick off the final leg of the tour in Madrid.

Together with co-writer Ed Sheeran and producer Max Martin, Vance won a Primetime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics" for Sheeran's "A Beautiful Game" from the hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso in 2023.

To cap off last year, Foy released his very special "Guiding Light (Anniversary Edition)", which features three of the biggest names in music - Ed Sheeran, Elton John and Keith Urban. Guiding Light", the closing track of Joy Of Nothing, was originally co-sung by Ed Sheeran, Vance's longtime friend, touring and songwriting partner. Over the past decade, the song has become a beacon of hope for Vance's vast global fan base, and to celebrate its 10th anniversary, he has re-recorded the song with three iconic musicians who have been part of his journey and who continue to inspire him.

Joy Of Nothing, recorded in Donegal on Ireland's west coast, was Vance's second full-length album and proved to be a critical and commercial breakthrough for the Bangor-born musician, winning the inaugural Northern Ireland Music Prize. All Music praised: "Steeped in the bold, sprawling expanse of the American Southwest, but free of any machismo, Vance draws courage and strength from unflinching emotional honesty."

Foy Vance shares, "It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since I released Joy of Nothing. Thank you to everyone who has listened to it. To those of you who have told me what the album has meant to you, and who have often opened my eyes to sides of the songs that I didn't even know existed. It's hard to put into words how much it means to have created something that you can inhabit as well as I can. As for The Joy of Nothing... well, it still exists and there's still joy in it... here's to the next decade of 'naught and everything'."

In 2015, Vance became Ed Sheeran's second signing to his label Gingerbread Man Records and has since released two acclaimed studio albums: The Wild Swan (2016) and Signs Of Life (2021). A sought-after songwriter, Vance has co-written four tracks including 'Galway Girl' on Ed Sheeran's album Divide (2017). He has also collaborated with Alicia Keys, Rag N Bone Man, Keith Urban, Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert, Plan B and Rudimental among many others, switching effortlessly between genres. Vance spends his time with his family in London and the Scottish Highlands.
