In the heart of the festival, the audience can look forward to an exquisite line-up of 4 different bands who will demonstrate in an innovative way how beguilingly beautiful, new and different yodeling can be lived and heard today.

Stimmreise.ch 3 is a vocal ensemble from Switzerland that was founded by Nadja Räss. The a cappella singing of the four women is like a tour through the most diverse yodeling landscapes. The music oscillates between traditional and modern and incorporates elements of pop, jazz and the avant-garde.

The Ganes group of sisters Elisabeth and Marlene Schuen come from a village in the Dolomites where Ladin is still spoken, which gives their songs a special character. With their voices, a considerable arsenal of string and wind instruments and electronic effects, Ganes weave sounds that are full of magic and enchantment. Together with multi-instrumentalist Johannes Bär, they embark on a journey to their South Tyrolean roots and the connection to yodeling today, exclusively for the festival.

Ernst Molden, one of the greats of the Austrian scene, is just as familiar with the yodelers of his hometown Vienna as he is with the "American Yodeling" that once characterized early country music. Supported by Maria Petrova on drums, Molden sings songs by Jimmie Rodgers or Hank Williams so convincingly in the "Weaner" dialect that you think the songs were not written on the Mississippi, but on the Danube.

Vue Belle with Anna Veit is a formation of young musicians with a history of flight who, under the direction of artist Paul Huf, have been making music together for several years, bringing people together beyond language and national borders and truly opening up horizons. In a workshop phase lasting several months with the musician Anna Veit, they opened up a space of experience and asked experimentally: Where does the Alpine region meet African roots in the middle of Munich?
