Switching sides: from interpreting to inventing. Developing your own ideas as a choreographer, bringing them into the ballet hall, developing them with your colleagues and finally performing them for the first time in front of an audience - that is the basic idea behind Frameworks. With the premiere at Ballhof 2, ballet director Goyo Montero is giving the members of his ensemble who are interested in choreographic work a professional platform and at the same time an open artistic laboratory. The audience can expect a kaleidoscope of miniature ballets, not as a loose sequence of numbers, but as a composed whole made up of diverse parts. Different themes, movement impulses, dance and ballet languages, theatrical means, musical worlds and aesthetic concepts meet, complement or contradict each other. Frameworks shows what moves a generation of 20 to 30-year-old artists - today dancers, tomorrow perhaps choreographers. "A wonderful project that I would like to firmly establish in our repertoire," says Goyo Montero.
