Francesca Martí: PASSAGE

HAUNT - Center for Art and Ecologies presents Passage, a solo exhibition by Spanish artist Francesca Martí, curated by Mark Gisbourne in collaboration with co-curator Jonathan Turner. On view from June 6 to July 4, 2026, the exhibition brings together video installations, sculptures, drawings and mixed-media works from more than two decades of Martí's artistic practice.

Passage moves through a world of technological acceleration, migration and ecological uncertainty - and asks what it means to remain human today. Between intimacy and monumentality, Martí's works reflect on transformation, regeneration, freedom and the fragile relationship between humans, technology and nature.

At the center of the exhibition is the new video work Resilience (2026), which is now being shown in Berlin for the second time after its premiere in Madrid earlier this year. Created in collaboration with Rohan Marley, the work deals with memory, identity, honesty, dreams and resilience - in the form of a fragmented philosophical dialog between Martí and Marley, who both lost their fathers at the age of nine. In the course of the projection, Martí increasingly transforms into one of her own Dreamer sculptures, dissolving the boundaries between performer, memory and sculptural form.
