"Everything has its time. That of William Shakespeare's sonnets began well over four hundred years ago, and there is no telling when it might come to an end. Sometimes it seems as if everything important that could be said about love, death, human passion and fallibility has been said. And as if everything that follows could only be repetition. This is precisely why every generation of poets has approached these verses anew.
