FRANKENSTEIN
after Mary Shelley
Dead is dead, man has always been unable to come to terms with that. But is that a reason to play God? Craft a creature and then leave it to its own devices because it is ugly? Frankenstein does that, and the creature takes cruel revenge. The dark story of guilt and atonement begins with faith in progress, delusions of grandeur and love and ends in hatred and bitterness on a flaming funeral pyre in the eternal ice.
