Even as a little girl, Nadège Kusanika loved to tell stories to the neighborhood children. And today she has even more to tell: of her childhood in Congo, of impenetrable fog and endless starry skies, of plastic sandals on eternally dusty earth; of hunger, of poverty, of arriving in a foreign country and of growing into German society.

Nadège Kusanika, born in Congo in 1988, came to Germany at the age of 15. She studied law in Würzburg. Today she lives with her family near Bonn.

The vernissage will be moderated by Michael Serrer, Literaturbüro NRW.
