Frühlings-Kanutour durch die Leipziger Auen

In the organizer's words:

We explore the springtime animal and plant diversity of Leipzig's floodplain landscape from the water. What grows, crawls, flies and swims on the sunny banks and in the light-flecked waters of the Pleiße? Which species live in the shady river courses of Europe's largest inner-city alluvial forest area? If you are equally interested in the biodiversity and condition of the alluvial forest, we cordially invite you to discover Leipzig's green lung by paddling - from a natural history perspective and at eye level.

Required equipment: weather-appropriate clothing, food, waterproof bag for valuables, mosquito repellent, note-taking material, binoculars (if available)

Duration & meeting point: Approx. 10 am - 1 pm (optionally until 2 pm), in front of the entrance to the boat rental at Leipziger Eck (Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/SSi85N89hJm6Cypj9 )

Registration deadline: 29.05.2026, 3 pm.
