Workshop with Elisa Buchterkirchen from the wilderness school Vier Fährten
On this evening we will make a spoon from a simple piece of branch.
Bread knife, fork, chopsticks - you can turn a simple piece of branch into many useful utensils. Our goal for this evening is a small soup spoon. Together we will discuss what you should consider when choosing wood. We will then carve the basic shape of the spoon. Embers as a tool.
To hollow out our spoons, we use an ancient method: ember burning. To do this, we light a campfire and use the embers to shape the spoon. Then all that's left is the finishing touches, a little care and your spoon is ready!
