Fußballsommer in den Gropius Passagen: Public Viewing mitten in Neukölln

This summer, the Gropius Passagen will be watching soccer together. Together with INTERSPORT, the center is showing selected World Cup matches live on a big screen in the atrium at the food court. During the tournament, this will be a place where people can come together to watch, eat, chat and share in the excitement.

Between shopping, after work and dinner, the games become part of everyday life. People stop, sit down or continue to watch the games together. Families after shopping, groups of friends after work or young people with food from the food court - some come specifically to play, others simply stay longer than planned after shopping. This is exactly what creates the special atmosphere of such evenings: People who might otherwise never meet sit next to each other and watch soccer together. Between the individual matches, sports topics / sports content, such as the "best of" moments from other matches, are shown. The Al Teatro team will take care of the visitors' culinary needs. There is a special World Cup menu with food and drinks.

The German national team matches in particular are likely to attract many people to the center. There will also be encounters with international teams that reflect the diversity of the district. Many of the nations competing in the World Cup also shape everyday life in Neukölln. The public viewing will pick up on this - open, uncomplicated and without a lot of staging. #

"Many people prefer to watch soccer together rather than alone at home," says Christian Danne, Center Manager of Gropius Passagen. "That's exactly what we're creating space for here. People can come by, eat something, meet friends and watch the games together. This creates a real experience where you can share in the excitement and celebrate together."

Initially, selected matches from the first week of the tournament will be shown. Gropius Passagen will announce further dates and possible additional broadcasts during the tournament on an ongoing basis via its social media channels.

• 11.06.2026, 9 p.m. - Mexico vs. South Africa

• 12.06.2026, 9 p.m. - Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina

• 13.06.2026, 9 p.m. - Qatar vs. Switzerland

• 14.06.2026, 7 p.m. - Germany vs. Curacao
