At Fuck Up Nights, speakers share their own experiences and stories of mistakes and failures, often in a humorous and entertaining way. The events provide a platform for people to share and discuss their mistakes without fear of criticism or negative consequences.
The following speakers will be appearing on this evening:
Marvin Oldfield stands for consistent execution and operational excellence. As a founder, sales and marketing manager and post-merger integration manager, he knows the reality behind visions: from his own start-up to SMEs to the unicorn 1KOMMA5°. At FuckUp Night, he will talk about the most dangerous gap in business: vision vs. execution: why brilliant ideas fail and how real impact is created.
PD Dr. Nicole Podschuweit has worked at the universities of Mainz, Erfurt and Chemnitz as a former academic councillor, head of large third-party funded projects and deputy professor of communication and media studies. In her keynote speech, she reveals why she declared her career goal of becoming a full professor in 2022 a failure despite supposedly having the best prerequisites and how becoming self-employed helped her out of her personal crisis.
Prof. Dr. Philipp Diebold is a computer scientist and expert on agility. He researched and advised on agile processes and project management at Fraunhofer IESE and completed his doctorate at TU Kaiserslautern on customized agility. In 2018, he founded the consulting firm Bagilstein with the scientifically sound approach "Exactly my agile". Today, he is a professor of business informatics at IU International University and a sought-after speaker at the interface between theory and practice.
