Our museum is a house with a workshop character - this was the credo at the opening of the new museum building in 1983, which was designed by Danish architects Jørgen Bo & Vilhelm Wohlert. With its variable and open spaces, the architecture combines inside and outside as well as nature and art. The art integrated into the architecture includes the wall mosaic in the foyer of the building by Mogens Andersen, a floor sculpture in front of the museum entrance by Jiří Hilmar and a Plexiglas light installation by Terry Haass. On a tour of the new museum building, we will explore the art on the building and the architectural language of this special example of museum architecture, which has been a listed building since 2025.

Participation in the guided tours is included in museum admission. The meeting point is at the museum ticket office.
